Oracle Communications Service Delivery Products
Oracle Communications Service Delivery is a portfolio of powerful, standards-based telecom network services layer middleware and application products, designed to enable service providers, enterprises, and developers to harness and cross-leverage the power of the Web, telecommunications, social networking, and IT, so that they can rapidly and cost-effectively create new and converged internet-communication services.
The Oracle Communications Service Delivery product family delivers the combined, industry-leading telecom network application and platform product strengths of the BEA WebLogic Communications Platform (BEA WLCP) and Oracle Service Delivery Platform (Oracle SDP) products.
The Service Delivery Platform products consist of service creation, execution, exposure, and management products, including the industry-leading converged Java EE-SIP-IMS application server, Oracle Communications Converged Application Server (formerly BEA WebLogic SIP Server), and the industry's most widely deployed Telecom Web Services and SDP policy control platform, Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper (formerly BEA WebLogic Network Gatekeeper).
Contribution to Telenor playground
The Oracle Communications Service Delivery products are an integral part of Telenor’s Playground as a key supplier of leading software technology for network exposure and IMS services.
The Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper is used for integrating towards and exposing the Telenor Playground capabilities to send and receive SMS and MMS, get user location, and implement call control via standards-based Application Programming Interfaces (API) to developers. The standardized API, implemented as Parlay X Web Services, provides an environment for rapid development of next generation services without having to understand lower-level underlying network and platform complexity. The APIs are exposed to Telenor partners and application developers in a secure and controllable manner.
Oracle Communications Converged Application Server is the market leading application server for next generation networks from all-IP to IMS-based networks. The Oracle Communications Converged Application Server enables innovative services development and deployment via the SIP Servlet standard JSR 289, Diameter protocol, and inherent HTTP capabilities and Java EE.
