Contribution to Telenor playground
HP is the prime contractor for Telenor Service Delivery Platform (SDP), in charge of design, architecture and roll-out implementation in Telenor affiliates. HP, together with its partners BEA and Unipier, has integrated the end-to-end Telenor SDP into Telenor's "Playground", providing the consulting services for customization and platform and service testing.
HP implemented the Service Governance Framework (SGF) in Telenor's Playground to provide a secure Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) environment with the flexibility and agility to add new services. SGF manages exposure and authentication of outside service connections, service life cycle, partner management and administration of services.
HP provided all the hardware infrastructure based on Intel Servers.
HP Services has also packaged and automated testing for HP SDP deployments. This package provides acceptance and functional testing of both HP SDP: SFG and services enablers. The HP Quality Management tools can also be applied to automate functional testing of new and existing telecom services. This demonstrates HP's Service Quality Testing solution which is applicable for testing the operator and the Third Party services exposed in the SDP.
The Telenor SDP Playground platform sits on top of all Telenor’s assets and provides a layer that can organise and administer those assets. It streamlines the implementation of new services by eliminating the need for vertical integration to each and every enabler in the network.
Business benefits.
- The Playground showroom enables Telenor to find, test and roll out new services more quickly and cost effectively.
- The ability to combine its own and its partners’ assets into a large volume of rich new services support Telenor’s long term competitive strategy.
- Creating the Playground platform will simplify integration, enabling Telenor to reduce costs and giving it the agility to respond quickly to market demands.
