Established in 2003, Seeker Wireless has nearly 50 staff across offices in London and Sydney.
Seeker has demonstrated the solution to multiple operators across Europe with very high in-zone reliability and with zone sizes that vary from 200 metres to 800 metres in most environments using unmodified handsets. Solution deployment options include a pre-installed or downloadable (OTA) java SIM applet, as well as a server-only solution.
One of the key benefits of the pre-installed or OTA version is the provision of a local “HOME” indicator on the idle screen of the subscriber’s handset when they are in the HomeZone.
The Seeker approach to location and zone detection not only results in smaller HomeZones (leading to much lower revenue leakage impacts compared to traditional network based Cell-ID systems), but also provides a much higher level of reliability (fewer miss-billed calls), resulting in fewer customer care issues. Seeker Wireless has also developed a comprehensive revenue leakage calculator that will allow Telenor group companies to model the reduction in revenue leakage and customer care.
Mobile advertising solutions can also be enhanced with the addition of SeekerZone for mobile advertising. In this configuration, the highly accurate and reliable zone detection technology is used to trigger push advertising when a subscriber enters or exits a pre-defined Ad-Zone.
