GPS-Action software sets automatic alarms and performs different actions according to the GPS and Cell position of the mobile phone.
The user can create personal landmarks based on his GPS or CellID position, or use already existing Nokia landmarks. Based on Landmarks, the user can create alarms and actions. As soon as the landmark is reached, the alarm fires and action is performed. Among actions the user can choose from are changing profiles, changing BT status or launching applications, documents or images. Optimal saving of mobile battery life is achieved using network based GPS, which is also supported.
