playground™ Lab

The playground lab is situated in Trondheim, Norway. Currently the lab includes assets like Messaging, Location and Payment, providing our partners with capabilities to send and receive SMS, send and receive MMS, get location, get subscriber data, Call control and payment. For details on the web-services currently available from the lab, click here. As Telenor playground evolves, more assets will be made available to our partners in the lab. The main drive for the evolution of our lab will be the playground service roadmaps and the assets required to achieve that roadmap.

playground LAB

Getting access to the lab:

To get access to the playground lab, you will need to apply for a playground partnership. When you have been approved to deploy services on the lab, we will require some technical information needed to grant you access to the lab. This typically includes technical contact, ip address/ ip address range or NAT address, list of applications you intend to run in the lab and which assets you require access to. Our partners will also be required to sign a simple, standard SLA describing the restrictions for the use of lab and the support offererd by the playground lab team. Based on the information you have provided, we will then set up an account for you on the lab and send you a start-up mail with the information you need to start implementing your service in the playground lab.

Use of the playground lab:

The use of the playground lab environment is for strictly non commercial purposes only, and our partners can only use playground enablers towards internal end-users, unless something else is agreed with the playground team. Pilots implemented in the lab may be used for demonstration purposes towards representatives within the Telenor Group, and some may also be made available for demonstration directly from the playground portal (i.e. as downloads or links).
