- Can I become a playground™ partner if I don't have any services ready for piloting?
The playground team will evaluate all applications for partnership. If the potential partner does not have any services available for piloting as of this moment, we will look into other alternative scopes of a collaboration. This can either be a roadmap of services, or a more general partnership in regards of service innovation.
- What if my service requires other enablers or functionality than those available in the playground™ lab?
One of the main inputs for the evolution of the playground lab is your service requirements. If you let the playground team know your need for new functionality or enablers in the lab, this may be included in the roadmap for our lab, and implemented when feasible. In the meantime, your service will need to be piloted in an alternative environment (normally your own).
- After piloting my service on playground™, how is the process to potentially deploying the service in one of Telenor operating co
The process from running a pilot in the playground lab to implementing the service in an operating company environment will depend on the local processes for service implementations. The process will be owned by resources in the operating company. The playground team will support and facilitate parts of this process, for instance
- ensure contact between partner and operating company
- setting up initial meeting
- support local scoping
- testing and implementation (if necessary)
All commercial terms and agreements for a local service implementation will be between the partner and the local Telenor operating company.
- How will my company and services be displayed for the Telenor companies on the playground™ portal?
Information about your service and company will be displayed on the playground portal the following way:
- You will have a company page which presents your company (company description, business focus areas, key figures, other service available etc.)
- You will have a product presentation page for each specific service you have introduced to the playground (service description, solution description, key figures, and estimated implementation time).
- All your services will be presented thematically in our online catalogue
- To demonstrate your service you may also implement it in our lab, or present an access to the service in your own environment
- All of the displayed information will be approved by your company in beforehand of publishing on playground
Parts of this information (on both company and services) are available only to Telenor operating companies.
- When I have become a playground™ partner, how do I deploy my services on the playground™ lab?
The playground environment includes a telecom lab, where you can get access to telecom enablers through standard API’s. When approved as partner, you will get access to all necessary information, tools and support to help you start developing, testing and deploying your services in the lab.
- When I have become a partner, how do I demonstrate my product to the Telenor operating companies?
The first step will be to make your service available for demonstration and testing. This can either be done by implementing your service in the playground lab or making the necessary changes to your own environment so that the service can be tested by the Telenor operating companies.
In either case, when the service is ready for test and demo, information about your service and company will be displayed on the playground portal.
- Are there any costs related to becoming a playground™ partner?
There are no costs related to becoming a playground partner. Playground resources (portal, support to partner etc) will be covered by Telenor.
Partner costs related to running in the playground lab shall be covered by the partner (resources, own hosting, licenses).
- What agreements do I need to sign to become a playground™ partner?
We require a Value Proposition document developed and signed by both the partner and the playground team. The Value Proposition document describes, on a high level, the scope and expectations of the partnership. The Value Proposition does not include any commercial terms for neither the partnership or any service pilots.
Commercial terms for a potential launch of a service in a Telenor operating company will be agreed and signed between the partner and the Telenor operating company directly. Normally this will be done after the service has been piloted in the playground lab, when a Telenor operating company has evaluated the service and decided to include it in its portfolio.
- How do I become a playground™ partner?
To become a playground partner, you must be approved by the playground team. To do this, we need you to apply for partnership by sending us an application form describing the scope of the proposed partnership – a Value Proposition document. Based on this the playground team will contact you and if necessary ask for a meeting to discuss a potential partnership.
- What do I get from becoming a playground™ partner?
By joining playground as our partner, you will get access to tools and environments for simplifying and accelerating the service development process and an opportunity for piloting of ready-to-market services. And most importantly: exposure within the Telenor Group.
- Who can become a playground™ partner?
Telenor playground wishes to attract partners ranging from major industry players to innovative service and application providers and developers.
The purpose of the partnership can either be on a strategic level (discussing how we can drive service innovation for Telenor and the partner) or related to specific services (making these services visible and available for the Telenor operating companies).
For specific services, the goal is to run pilots in our lab environment, or/and in the partner environment, so that the Telenor operating companies can test and evaluate the services in a relevant telecom environment.
Although it is not a requirement, it will be an advantage if the partner has either global presence and/or global delivery capabilities.
